A thousand reasons to be part of “Italia, Amore mio!”

Italia, Amore mio! is the first festival of Italy in Japan. Music, performances and other surprises will take place on the 28th and 29th of May, from 10:00 to 21:00, in order to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of relations between Italy and Japan and also the best of Made in Italy.

Lovers of Italian culture, design, food, sport, luxury and tourism can’t miss “Italia, amore mio!” if they really want to directly experience all of the above. To walk among the best of Made in Italy exhibitions, meet celebrities, discover new places to visit in Italy, experience the pleasure of the real Aperitivo with friends are only a few of the possibilities offered during these full days.

This important event will take place in Roppongi Hills, one of the biggest business centres of Tokyo. Clarissa Marchese, Miss Italy 2014 and Sari Nakazawa, Miss Japan 2016 are the symbols of beauty that will introduce to the audience this big event. Along with them there will also be cooking expert Francesco Bellissimo, Robin, a TV, magazine and fashion personality and Pietro Cristo, who has been living in Japan for more than 20 years and is famous for promoting Italian companies’ testimonials, as well as being an actor and guest of many TV programs.

Sport lovers will be able to see a soccer demo by former Serie A player, such as Manuel Belleri and Luca Monese. Moreover, Italian cooking lovers will learn the secret techniques of renowned chefs like Andrea Tranchero, master chef of Barilla Cooking Show and Mario Frittoli who will lead the BioBalance cooking show.

The Italian tradition of music will be also celebrated, starting from classic opera to contemporary music. Virtuosos Italian and Japanese singers will perform famous operas’ extracts of the greatest composers, like Gioachino Rossini, Giacomo Puccini and Giuseppe Verdi.

For the first time in Japan, two young singers will pay homage to contemporary music: Giovanni Caccamo is the winner of newcomer’s section of the Sanremo Music Festival 2015 and the new star of Italian pop music. Marianne Mirage is an actress, singer, composer and the new artist of Sugar Music, one of the most prominent Italian music record labels. Also Andrea Bocelli, Elisa Toffoli and Negroamaro have collaborated with this epic label.

Dance and taiko performers as well as Italian and Japanese musicians will be part of this rich program, whose aim it to show the best of Made in Italy and the tuning with Japanese culture and people, who have always welcomed the Italian tradition with enthusiasm.
