For the past 4 years Italia, amore mio! has showcased the best of Italy to over 500.000 Japanese visitors with over 250 live performances, 300 exhibits, and installations, 150 food stations, cooking-shows, competitions… becoming the largest Italian festival in Japan.
This year we will do all of the above and more in a different format: a central hub in Tokyo will coordinate multiple satellite events scattered all over the city hosted in Italian landmark venues. At the same time, a virtual interactive chat will connect Japan with Italian cities.
Theme 2020 – Insieme
Uncertainty has prevailed in many aspects of our daily life forcing us to stand afar from each other and respect a social physical distance. But emotionally this experience has worked the other way around, giving us the chance to re-evaluate the importance of “the other” and the meaning of togetherness. Together we can make it – and it’s way more fun.
