Founded in 1980, the Orchestra della Toscana is one of Italy’s leading symphonic ensembles. Based in Florence at Teatro Verdi, it comprises 44 musicians and is renowned for the versatility and excellence of its performers. The Orchestra is artistically directed by Daniele Spini and conducted by Diego Ceretta.

At Expo 2025 Osaka, the Orchestra presents its Wind Quintet with the program “Fiati in Opera”, a fascinating musical journey across Italy, balancing avant-garde experimentation and melody. From Luciano Berio to Nino Rota, and including transcriptions of great operas by Puccini and Verdi, the concert showcases the richness of Italian musical creativity from the 20th century and beyond.

FIATI IN OPERA – Wind Quintet of the Orchestra della Toscana
A musical journey through Italy: from Luciano Berio’s controlled chaos to Nino Rota’s playful lyricism, culminating in reimagined arrangements of Puccini and Verdi’s operatic masterpieces. The performance explores the balance between lightness and depth, irony and intensity, innovation and memory.

  • Giuseppe Verdi – Overture from Nabucco (arranged for wind quintet)

On Friday, July 11th from 6:00 PM, it will be possible to register for the events of Tuscany Region’s week at EXPO 2025 Osaka.

Below are the registration procedures:

1. Download the official app
Search for and install the “Italy Expo 2025 – Official App” on your smartphone (available on App Store and Google Play).

2. Open the app and click on the “Calendar” icon
The icon is located in the center of the bottom bar.

3. Choose the event
Scroll and select the event you wish to attend.

4. Click on “Book the event”
An external page will automatically open.

5. You will be redirected to Eventbrite
The system will take you directly to the booking platform.

6. Confirm your participation
Press “Book” on Eventbrite and follow the instructions to complete the registration.
