Vinitaly is the main reference event in the wine sector: the 2017 edition welcomed more than 4,000 exhibitors with 130,000 visitors (50,000 international visitors from 140 countries). The trade fair comprises of four days of major events, meetings, tastings and targeted workshops to encourage contacts between exhibitors and trade operators, together with an impressive convention programme discussing and analysing topics associated with supply and demand in Italy, Europe and the rest of the world.
From pasta to delicatessen meats, confectionery specialties and cheese, from honey to sauces, beer and coffee: Sol&Agrifood is increasingly becoming a landmark for food products from Italy as well as other countries, with significant growth in foreign exhibitors.
Sol&Agrifood is concurrent to Vinitaly, and it focuses on food products.
Its purpose is to encourage direct contact between producers and trade operators, buyers and catering professionals. The aim is to enable producers to explain and narrate how products come into being, what are they, where the raw materials come from and any related traditions.
Business contacts are fostered through b2b meetings between delegations of foreign buyers and exhibitors. In addition to b2b meetings, Sol&Agrifood also offers mini-courses illustrating how to recognize the true quality of products.
For many years, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Japan has collaborated with Vinitaly on selecting and sending a delegation of importers and hotel/restaurant operators from Japan to the trade fair.
Following the success of previous years, we are recruiting for buyers for Vinitaly again this year.
