Digital Specialist

The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ICCJ) has been involved in digital activities steadily for the last few years, and we moved almost completely online in 2020. With three major websites, four social channels, two newsletters, and several digital promotion initiatives - comprising of landing pages, online advertising, and social campaigns - we need professionals that can help us maintain and expand our web presence.

How you can help us

We need a well-rounded digital specialist that can move freely between the technical and marketing aspects of our online activity, which we started (and maintain to this date) internally.

  • Collaborate with the media manager and the business managers in executing content plans for our websites and social media, leveraging internal creators (employees and interns) and our stakeholders (members, institutions, influencers)
  • Create and monitor digital advertising campaigns and newsletters for ICCJ or their clients
  • Learn new things and help us find new business opportunities in the digital space, whether by investing in new assets or creating new initiatives
  • While you strive for excellence and are able to suggest the best from the market, you are not afraid to devise rough-and-ready solutions for initiatives that start with a low budget, and “I’ll do it myself” is always one of your options.

Basic criteria to evaluate your profile:

  • You have one or more years of real-world experience in digital advertising and digital marketing (mail campaigns, web contents management, SNS, etc.)
  • You have a working knowledge of image and video manipulation for socials (e.g.clipping, adding subtitles&overlays, etc.)
  • You are ready to show us a portfolio of projects you took charge of, and you will be able to motivate your choices both from a technical and a business point of view
  • You speak Japanese and English. Ideally, we think of fully bilingual candidates, however, we will evaluate candidates that are at least fluent in both speaking and writing.
Bonus points if:
  • You have solid experience with professional creative tools (e.g. Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, Davinci Resolve...) or with streaming tools (e.g. OBS Studio)
  • You are savvy with web technologies (e.g. CSS, Javascript, WordPress, etc.)
  • You speak Italian in addition to Japanese and English
Regarding the selection process
  • We will first check that you have the essential requirements.
  • By the first interview, you will have spent some time on our websites and formed a rough idea of what the main priorities might be, as well as what will be the main challenges
  • The second interview will be a technical assessment
  • There may be a third interview before an offer is made
We will consider both part-time and full-time contracts depending on the actual experience and performance at selection times, as well as on the requests of the candidate.

Italian Innovation Day 2019 – Public Bid for Sponsorship

The 2019 edition of the Italian Innovation Day (IID), organized by the Italian Embassy in Tokyo in collaboration with Italian and Japanese public institutions (ICE, Invitalia, Japan External Trade Organization JETRO), will be held on 9 October 2019 at the JETRO headquarters (Ark Mori Building, Tokyo).

Fifteen Italian startups and scaleups will have the opportunity to present themselves in front of a vast public of important companies and local investors in search of innovative products, technologies and services. 

The initiative will be promoted and enhanced through marketing and communication actions coordinated by this Embassy and addressed to the largest Japanese companies engaged in technological innovation, specialized media (with a focus on bloggers, online newspapers and radio) and communities of entrepreneurs and creatives revolving around the main hubs of the local innovation ecosystem.
